what to expect
Walking into something new can feel intimidating! Especially if you’re already carrying a lot. So here’s what you can expect when you come to a Noia gathering or session:
You’ll be greeted by a caring adult (or two, or three!) who are there to listen, not judge. You’ll be welcomed with open arms by other teens, some seasoned regulars, some newcomers. And?
You’ll never be forced to talk, share, or explain yourself. Some girls speak. Some listen. Both are okay.
Our gatherings are small and intentional. We talk when it feels right, and we sit quietly when it doesn’t. There may be journaling, art, movement, or creative activities; but none of it is about being good at something. It’s about expressing what’s already inside you.
There’s no pressure to “fix” anything or to be anyone other than yourself. This is a space where your story is respected, your feelings are taken seriously, and your pace is honored.
Most of all, you can expect to be treated with kindness, dignity, and care.
