We have applied to the Internal Revenue Service for recognition of federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and are currently awaiting a determination.
Important Tax Information
At this time, The Noia Project has not yet received its IRS determination letter. Accordingly, contributions should not be assumed to be tax-deductible.If the IRS approves our application, tax-exempt status is generally recognized retroactively to the date of incorporation. In that event, contributions made while our application is pending may qualify as tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. However, no assurance of deductibility can be provided unless and until the IRS issues a final determination. Donors are encouraged to consult their tax advisors regarding the deductibility of contributions. The Noia Project is in the process of completing required charitable registration filings in New York State. Contributions will be used to support our charitable mission in accordance with applicable law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution unless expressly stated in connection with a specific event or campaign.
